Vis Moot is the biggest moot court competition in the world. The moot problem is related to international commercial law and commercial arbitration. All the teams taking part in the competition will get to take part in the oral hearings in Vienna (appr. 360 universities/ 2500 participants) or Hong Kong (appr. 100 universities). In addition, the Helsinki team traditionally takes part in many international Pre-Moots (this year Rome, Riga, Bucharest, Shanghai, Helsinki and White&Case Paris, ICC Paris and August Debouzy Paris). Team Helsinki has been increasingly successful – this spring the team made it to the top 32 in Vienna (of participating 357 universities). In 2017, University of Helsinki won the award for the best memorandum for respondent in the Vis East in Hong Kong.
